Amos was born September 3, 1918 in Moscow, KS and passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2013 . 3 weeks shy of his 95 birthday.
Amos was the 5 of 9 siblings. Amos was the last surviving sibling and he would always reminisce about the good old days during the "Great Depression" as he grew up in Moscow, KS. Amos would always tell the stories of riding the trains and traveling town to town at the age of 14 and how his mother worried over him.
Amos served his country during WWII in the Army Aircorp. He was stationed in South Carolina on submarine patrol. After the war, he returned to Kansas to work in the gas fields.
Over the next 40 years, Amos traveled nationwide as a Journeyman Pipefitter. Just recently he was recognized for being a member to the United Association of of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industries of the United States for 60 years.
After retirement, Amos enjoyed walking, polka music, reading and most of all,
he enjoyed being Papa.
Amos was preceded in death by his wife Achula Bolinger of 49 years.
Amos is survived by Daughter, DeAnne Morrison and Grandaughters,
Roshelle (Jon) Damush & Shauna (Steve) Mullins and Great Grandchildren, Ariel and Oren Damush & Ella Faith and Duke Mullins; and Son, Doug Bolinger (Chawna), and Grandchildren, Brandy, Austin & Danielle Bolinger.
