Andrew Adrian Valdez, affectionately known to his family and friends as Andy, departed this life on October 6, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He was born on February 25, 1960, in the vibrant city of Denver, and lived a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories that will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Andy possessed a gentle spirit and a warm personality, making friends easily wherever he ventured. His friendly demeanor and infectious laugh were magnets that drew people towards him. He was a humble man, quick to lend a helping hand, always ready to do a favor for someone in need. His reliability was a bedrock for those who called him friend, and his ability to connect with others made him a beloved presence in all walks of life.
A true enthusiast of classic cars, Andy took great pride in his extensive collection of model cars, which adorned his home and spoke to his passion. He was also a devoted fan of the Raiders Football team, cheering them on with unbridled enthusiasm. Family meant everything to Andy; whether running errands or simply shopping together, he relished every moment spent in their company. In his earlier days, he found joy in fishing, a pastime that brought him tranquility and satisfaction.
Andrew is survived by his son Jacob and daughter-in-law Danielle, grandson Zariano, and his beloved mother, Victoria Valdez. The bond shared with his sisters, Velma (Gerardo), Sandra (Wayne), and Celina (Rodney), was precious, as was the laughter shared with his nieces Brandy and Jessica and his nephews Ezekiel, Vincent, Marko, and Andrew. Each of his family members carries a piece of his legacy, enriched by countless memories and shared experiences. Andrew is also survived by numerus great nieces and nephews.
Andy was preceded in death by his father Joseph Valdez and his son Joseph Valdez, both of whom were cherished figures in his life. Their spirits live on through the love and lessons they shared with Andy.
The celebration of Andy's life will take place on October 25, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro in Denver, Colorado. Services will commence at 9:00 AM, leading into the funeral service at 9:30 AM. Following the service, family and friends will gather for a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton, starting at 11:30 AM.
