Angela Margaret Patterson

Angela Margaret Patterson, 38, of Henderson, Colorado, passed away February 18, 2012 in Henderson. Born February 22, 1973 to parents Keith Koppman and Julie Barnett in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her loving husband David Dwayne Patterson; loving children Cory Matthew Patterson, Amber Anne Patterson and Kyle David Patterson; father Keith Eugene Koppman; mother Julie Anne Barnett; sister Kristy Sue Koppman; brother Gerald Matthew Koppman and sister-in-law Selina Silva; grandparents Lou and Margaret Dohse; grandmother Sedora Koppman; step-mother Susan M. Koppman; nieces Sophie Anne Koppman, Amanda and Jessica Patterson; nephew Anthony Patrick Koppman; mother-in-law Glenda Patterson; brother-in-law Charles Patterson II; numerous loved ones and friends.

Angie was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend. Angela's dream in life was to be a mother. She always had this amazing love for babies and children. Thank God her dreams came true. She got married at the age of 19 and had three beautiful children of her own.

Angela's greatest joy and gift was taking care of babies and children. She was so sweet and kind, she definitely had a special connection with the little ones, and they loved her as well!

Angie was diagnosed with brain cancer on July 30, 2011. The entire family and community was devastated. Angie kept telling us all she was going to be fine. She had the most positive attitude during the radiation and chemotherapy process. She would walk into the hospital with a big smile on her face, determination and strength! She taught us all to have faith in God and how to be strong.

She was an absolute inspiration to us all. Unfortunately she was taken too soon. We are all devastated and will miss her so much. Angie was very proud that she and the children were baptized recently. The entire family became very involved in their church the last six months, so we are positive she will be with God. Please Lord, take care of our Angela, give us strength and bless us all.

Memorial service Saturday, February 25, 2012, 11 A.M., at Community of Christ Church, 3780 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. In lieu of flowers donations are greatly appreciated to the family for expenses and college funds for the Patterson children. Reception to follow the memorial service at the church.
