Angelina R. Crespin, affectionately known as Angie, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Denver. Born on April 16, 1970. She was known for her love, generosity and laughter. Angie was a proud Denver native, born and raised in this vibrant city where her roots ran deep and that helped shape her early years and fostered her enduring spirit. She attended Manual High School.
Those who knew Angie best would describe her as a deeply generous soul. Her family often said that her boundless generosity was her greatest gift—one she embraced wholeheartedly, giving not merely of possessions but of her time, spirit, and kindness. Though she was a private person, Angie cherished the close circle of friends she held dear. In her earlier years, she found great joy in spending time with her cousins and her beloved nieces and nephews. To them, she was the "cool aunt," whose presence was cherished, often marked by moments of music-filled joy while riding in the car, creating memories that will linger in their hearts forever.
Angie’s personality sparkled with humor and warmth. She loved to laugh and bring light into the lives of those around her. She found pleasure in helping others, held a fondness for the NFL, and delighted in the simple enjoyment of a Pepsi. She was a person full of life, generosity, and love.
Angie loved the Lord and found comfort in Him. Her proudest accomplishments was the resilience of her son and daughter. Her grandchildren are the living legacy of her heart.
Angelina is survived by a loving family that will continue to carry her spirit with them: her son Ricardo Crespin and his wife Cherrisse, her daughter Destini Marin and her husband Xavier, and her devoted mother, Mary Santa Cruz. She is also remembered fondly by sister, Inez Robinson and her husband Arito, brother, Raymond Santa Cruz and his wife Lora, and a beloved circle of grandchildren—Andrew, Leandra, Ricardo III, Gideon, Genevieve, and Rosemary. Her great-grandchildren Zyier and Andrew Jr. also carry forward her memory. Cherese, Alexandria, Ricky, and Michael—her cherished nieces and nephews—along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, hold her memory close to their hearts.
Angelina’s journey was preceded by: her fathers, Lee T. Smith and Manuel M. Marin, her grandmother, Margaret Santa Cruz, and her grandparents, Gene & Angelina Marin. Their legacy lives on through her, a radiant thread in the fabric of a family bound by love and remembrance.
