Angeline Mary Nosewicz

Angeline (Angie) Mary Nosewicz, 97 passed away peacefully with her daughter Marianne by her side on September 4,2026. Her husband of 66 years, Edward P Nosewicz, preceded her in death on July 27, 2016. Angeline's oldest sister died as a young baby and her younger brothers Pat Ruffo died on December 12, 2023 and Tony Ruffo on April 24, 2024.

She is survived by six children, sons, Tom (Bev), Jim (Deborah), Eddie (Joanne), Lenny (Patty), Jerry (Cindy) daughter Marianne (Chris), and eleven grandchildren Nick, Nicole, Alex, Rachael, Gabby, Camille, David, Dominic, Andrew, Jeff (Jill) and Rick, 4 great grandchildren Elliet, Jonah, Henry, Issac, and many cousins especially Martha Morrow, nieces and nephews.

Angie was the daughter of Leonardo and Mary Ruffo born on December 12, 1928 in Binghamton, New York.

Angie attended Daniel S Dickinson Elementary School and graduated from Binghamton Central High School in June 1947. In 1950, Angie graduated a nursing program at Charles S. Wilson Memorial School of Nursing in Johnson City. She later earned her RN License on July 24, 1951.

Angie did two nursing clinicals. One at Binghamton State Hospital in Psychiatrics; and the other one at Herman Biggs Hospital in Ithaca, New York on the Tuberculosis Floor. There she met the love of her life Edward P Nosewicz. Edward and Angie married in Binghamton, New York, on November 18, 1950, for over 66 years of marriage. They

relocated to Aurora, Colorado where Edward worked as a schoolteacher, and Angie worked as a Registered Nurse.

Angie worked at Fitzsimons Psychiatric Hospital; United Cerebral Palsy Center (where is 1994 she was awarded the recipient of the United Cerebral Palsy Association Staff Award);and the school nurse for St. Therese Catholic School.

Angie was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church for over 65 years where she often attended mass every morning and the Divine Mercy in the afternoon. She served as an active member of the Altar & Rosary Society, and Aurora Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus where she was known for going one step further. She was awarded the Lady of the Year in 2008. Angie also found time to volunteer at the Friends of Saint Andrews from 1994 - 2018 serving the poor and homeless in the community.

Because of her deep, self-less character Angie will be remembered for her angelic personality, utmost devotion to Jesus Christ, the Blessed Mother, her family, and her church community. Whenever someone needed prayers, they could always count on Angie because of her spiritual connection to the Blessed Mother.

Angie was also known as an outstanding cook and baker. Her favorite pastimes were singing, reading, sewing, drawing, and most importantly spending time with her children and cherished grandchildren.

Services will be held on September 22, 2026 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1243 Kingston St, Aurora, CO. Rosary 10:00am, Mass 10:30am, followed by a reception in Church Hall.

Please honor Angie wearing her favorite color purple. Purple is the official color of Alzheimer's. Symbolizing brain awareness supporting strength, courage and hope fighting this disease.
