ANNA JEAN BROWN:
Anna Jean Brown, 94, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at a local nursing home in Denver, Colorado after a long and brave battle with congestive heart failure.
She was a member of the Reading Avenue Baptist Church in Texas and attended several other churches in Iowa and Colorado where she later lived.
She enjoyed bowling, playing the piano and organ, reading, sewing and gardening. She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and Sunday School teacher.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lynna Villano and husband, Steve, Michael Brown and his wife, Cheryl, several grandchildren, Michelle, Kristy, Kim and her husband, Mark, many great grandchildren, two sister-in-laws, Virginia Brown and Patricia Hill in Texas and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Jack O. Brown, parents Eula and Joe B. Hill, four brothers, Dwight Hill, J.B. Hill, Billie Joe Hill, and Charles A. Hill, and three sisters, Virginia Kelley, Mary Davis and Bobbie Cargile.
Her private memorial service will be at a later date in Rock Island, Illinois. Burial will be in Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.
