Annabelle May (Thomas) Haug
Annabelle May (Thomas) Haug, age 83, of Aurora Colorado, went to heaven on February 1, 2016 after years of courageously battling cancer.
She was born in Milbank, South Dakota to John and Marie(Harder) Angerhofer on September 1, 1932.
She attended country school through the eight grade.
Annabelle was united in marriage to Grant Hagen and they were blessed with three children, Robert, Richard and Lorna.
Annabelle was then united in marriage to Sanford Charles Haug and they were blessed with one child, Patrick.
Annabelle was also united in marriage to James (J.T.) Thomas and they were blessed with three children; Bradley, Rosemary and Kimberly.
After the death of James (J.T.) she was reunited in marriage to Sandford Haug and lived her remaining years in Colorado.
She held numerous jobs until she worked as a bank teller at the Deuel County National Bank from 1976 to 1997. She also owned and operated Annie's Cafe.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clear Lake, South Dakota. She was also a member of Aurora Eagles 3224 in Aurora, Colorado.
Annabelle loved tending to her rose garden, playing bingo, dice, cards and going to the casino. She enjoyed visiting with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her time with her Colorado friends.
Annabelle is survived by one sister Mary Jane Miller and one special cousin Dorothy Prendergast. Her children, Richard Hagen of Winfield, Lousiana, Lorna Leal of Aurora, Colorado, Patrick Haug (Ann) of Parkland, Florida, Bradley Thomas (Kim) of Clear Lake, South Dakota, Rosemary Lukkes (Dean) of Bradley, South Dakota and Kimberly Thomas of Milbank, South Dakota. Her Grandchildren; Virginia Lee (Wayne), Austin Hagen (Brenda), Cole Hamann (Seanna), Charla Hale (Gary), Casie Hamann, Garret Hamann (Nayeli), April Benton (Justin), Danny Scott (Shaina), Parker Haug, Heather Thomas (Shannon), Jessica Kaska (Justin), Kellie Thomas, Rob Konold (Annie), Lacie Lukkes (Chad), Jordan Lukkes, Ashley Lukkes, Scott Boeke (Ashlie) and Curt Boeke and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents John and Marie Angerhofer, sisters Jeanette Barlund, Rosella Kelly, special cousin Stella Bucy, her son Robert Hagen, granddaughter Brandy Rose and her husbands Grant, Sanford and James (J.T.).
Memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Clear Lake, South Dakota on February 13, 2016 at 11:00 am.
