Ann Marie (Olsen) Eastwood 79, of Aurora Colorado passed away Saturday August 24, 2013.

She was born July 25, 1934 to Sigurd Kristian Olsen and Inga Ovidia Odegaard in Wyndmere, North Dakota. Ann Marie was the youngest of 4 daughters and is survived by her sisters Helen Egstad (Fergus Falls, MN), Solveig Tharaldson (Owatonna, MN), and Ruby Halvorsen(Mpls, MN).

Ann Marie attended school in Grand Forks, ND and graduated from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Fall, MN. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for various business until she was hired as secretary at the State Geological Survey where she met and married William Parker Eastwood originally of Ft. Scott, KS on August 20, 1961.

William and Ann Marie had 4 children, David, Michael, Jennifer, Rachel, and moved from North Dakota to Aurora CO in 1976 where they have lived for 37 years.

Ann Marie was a passionate cook, an artist, a gardener, and a faithful and devoted member of Smoky Hill United Methodist Church where she gave and received much joy singing in the church choir and as a member of an acapella group The Good News Singers whose name she proposed. She also served as secretary for the Board of Trustees for many years. Her canned pickles where highly regarded and very popular as raffle prizes and Christmas gifts.

Ann Marie was well known for her compassion and love of all people, her pride and love of her family, and her playful and joyous spirit.

A celebration of Ann Marie's life will be held on Sunday September 8th, 2:00pm at Smoky Hill United Methodist Church 19491 E. Smoky Hill Rd. Aurora, CO. For those who wish flowers can be sent to this address for Saturday delivery or a donation made to Smoky Hill United Methodist Church.
