On the evening of June 21st, 2024 Anthony Richard Garcia Sr gained his wings peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Great – Grandchildren: Ajanay, Genessy, Trinity, Ashiyah, D’Shantaye L., Adonis, Angelita, Jesse Jr., Myah, Cerenity, Donaciano, Catalina

He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, brother and sister in-laws who loved him dearly.
Anthony was born in Las Vegas New Mexico July 20th, 1958. He was a 3rd child. He grew up in Albuquerque, Barelas neighborhood. He played basketball, baseball and ping pong. He was Ping Pong Champion for numerous years in his teen years. He retired from Red Rocks Community College in July 2015. He was with Red Rocks for over 35 years. While at Red Rocks he had many accomplishments and achievements throughout his time there and also received Employee of the Year and he was awarded an honorary plaque by Governor Romer. Anthony also coached his own softball team “The Morrisons” in which he enjoyed very much. Many times he made the college newsletters for his accomplishments. He loved his sports and sporting events. His BRONCOS, Nuggets, & Rockies. He enjoyed barbecuing, drinking beer, while listening to his favorite music (poolside) and watching the kids play. While sitting on his porch he would wave to many neighbors passing by as they all waved to him. He especially loved hanging out with his brothers going downtown and to the flea market, he enjoyed going to football/baseball/basketball games.
