Anthony Suazo (affectionately known as GULIO) 84, died January 19, 2012 at Briarwood Health Care Center in Denver, Colorado.
Anthony was born November 30, 1927 to Frank and Carie Suazo in LaJunta, Colorado.
Anthony served in the United States Army, during World War II where he attended Toxic Gas School. Anthony never married nor had children of his own. However, his interests were to care for familial needs whether being a caregiver to a host of nieces and nephews, cooking, cleaning or in whatever capacity he was needed and he taught us all the valuable lesson of not letting a match burn twice.
Anthony resided at Briarwood Health Care Center for the last 8 years with Alzheimer's where he lived an active and full life. His devoted great niece, Lanette (Guido, Quincy and Justice) served as his guardian and caregiver in conjunction with Briarwood. Several Briarwood staff stands out not only as his caregivers, but comrades and in the end his greatest advocates along with Lanette in insuring he received the best care. Agape Hospice was phenomenal in their role as end of life, compassionate caregivers for Anthony. Their service to both Anthony and Lanette will forever be remembered.
Anthony Suazo is survived by a host of family members.
