1972 – 2020


Apryl Dawn (Chavez) Muncy 47 of Golden, CO went to be with Jesus on Apryl 11th 2020. Apryl died unexpectantly of heart failure.

Apryl was born in Lakewood, CO on April 14th, 1972 to the delight of her parents Marty and Jean Chavez. She attended Green Mountain High school and earned two bachelors degrees from Red Rocks community college.

Apryl is preceded in death by her grandparents Chester and Mary Nephew and Juan and Didia Chavez. By her Uncle Richard and Aunt Lupe and her Uncle Tom Lang and cousin Donnell Lang.

Survived by her husband Robert Muncy of 25 years. Her parents Marty and Jean Chavez and brother Anthony Chavez (Amy) two nieces Averie and Alexis and brother Chris Chavez. Many Aunts and Uncles including Diane Lang, Michael and Rita Murphy, Pat and Jan Chavez, Ben and Molly Martinez, Cipri Romero, Rey and Louise Chavez, Billy and Lisa Chavez, Dennis and Frieda Chavez, Susan Beasley, Dora Chavez, Lorraine Marquez, and Mary Garcia. Also many cousins to numerous to name.

Apryl worked as a graphic designer at her own company, Great Minds Think Alike. She had a giving spirit and gave her best to anyone whose life she touched. People who knew her thought of her as very intelligent and hard working, with a smile on her face for the world. She loved her dogs Julie and Ringo like they were her children.

She would be honored if in lieu of flowers, you would donate to Max Fund (a no kill animal rescue) or Gift of Adoption fund. (Bringing children home to loving families)

One of the highlights of Apryl's life was her mission trip to El Salvador with her church youth group to build an orphanage. She described in a letter how it changed her life.

Apryl has left a void in our lives that can not be filled. She will be deeply missed.

Due to the Covid-19 virus restrictions a celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.
