Arthur's journey began in the serene backdrop of Denver, where his early years shaped the man he would become—one marked by strength and perseverance. After serving for eight noble years in the Navy, he displayed a remarkable commitment to duty and honor, a testament to his character that would stay with him throughout his life.
Following his time in the Navy, Arthur transitioned into a professional environment that allowed him to showcase his intellect and dedication at IBM. He devoted 40 years to the company, where his contributions were valued and celebrated. His work ethic and determination inspired those around him, leaving a legacy of professionalism and commitment.
Arthur’s most cherished roles, however, were found within the walls of his home and among his loved ones. He is survived by his children, Judy (Mike) Crater and Kevin (Jonna Zimmer) Cox, whose lives are a reflection of the values he instilled in them. The love he poured into his family flourished through generations, leaving behind a vibrant legacy in the form of his beloved grandchildren: Jenni Crater, Kim Crater, Matthew Crater, Linda Longstaff, Corey Cox, Jim Cox, Travis Cox, and Austin Cox. They were the joy of his life, and he took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive.
Arthur was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Shirley Cox, whose spirit accompanied him throughout their years together, and his two sons, Jeffrey Cox and Charles Cox, whose absence left an indelible mark on his heart. He also missed his parents, Jackie and Gifford Cox, who had a profound influence on his upbringing.
As we remember Arthur, we celebrate a man who embodied resilience, generosity, and love. He touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. His footprints are forever etched in our hearts, guiding us with memories of laughter, cherished moments, and the warmth of his love.
