Arthur P. Schaecher, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 16, 2026. Born on June 28, 1939, Arthur’s life was marked by dedication, kindness, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
Arthur proudly served in the Navy, a testament to his steadfast character and commitment to service. Following his military service, he pursued his passion for the electrical trade. His career spanned 31 years as an electrician with the IBEW Local Union #68 in Denver, where he was not only respected for his skill and dedication but also cherished for his warm personality and good humor.
Known for his great sense of humor, Arthur was a loving soul who had a way of bringing joy and laughter to those around him. A consummate jokester, he balanced his lightheartedness with kindness and genuine care. His pride extended beyond his work to his role as a good neighbor, always ready to lend a hand and help others in any way he could, embodying the true spirit of community.
Arthur had many passions that enriched his life. He was a man deeply connected to his faith, regularly attending church. His mechanical aptitude shone brightly in his love for restoring old cars—a hobby that combined his talent with his appreciation for craftsmanship. He was also an avid collector of various items, each piece reflecting fragments of his vibrant character.
One of Arthur’s cherished retreats was his property in Franktown, a place where he found peace and deep joy. These moments there were among his happiest, underscoring his love for the simple pleasures of life.
Arthur is survived by his loving daughter Debbie Swanson (and husband Jeff) and daughter Darlene Preston (and husband Rhett). He was a devoted grandfather to Lyndsey (and Colin), Courtney (and Rich), Brayden, and Beau, who all cherished their time with him. His great-grandchildren, Charlee and Liam “Lil Willie,” brought him immense pride and happiness. He also leaves behind his sister, Joella Fleshman, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends whose lives he enriched profoundly.
Arthur was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dottie Schaecher, parents, Helen and Killian Schaecher, whose legacy lives on in their son’s compassionate heart and abiding strength.
Arthur P. Schaecher’s life was a tapestry of love, laughter, faithful service, and generous spirit. Those fortunate enough to know him will remember his hearty laughter, his readiness to help, and the warmth of his presence. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
