Arthur Joseph Valdez

Arthur Joseph Valdez, 65 passed away peacefully at home May 29, 2017. Art was born Jan 12, 1952 In Alamosa, CO.
When he was a teenager, his family moved to Denver, CO. Art attended West High School, and proudly wore his class ring every day. Art worked at Tharco Box Manufacturing Company for over 35 years before he retired. He was a great provider for his family. Art was a very talented artist, had an incredible knowledge of history, and was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. He treated his dogs like his kids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Valdez, his wife Mary "Lucky" Valdez, siblings Frank (Mary) Valdez, Jane Thompson, and Gloria Bye.
He is survived by his children, Charles Richard (Melanie) Lawhorn Jr. and Tracey (Brent) Lawhorn Bruellman. He has four grandchildren that he loved with all of his heart, and was extremely proud of: Charles Koda Lawhorn, Taryn Lawhorn, Connor Bruellman, and Carson Bruellman. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews that he loved very much.
Art was a great friend, best friend, Dad, loved by many and will be greatly missed.
