The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
he leadeth me beside the still waters;
He restoreth my soul
Arthur Ware, Jr started his excellent and good work here in earth on October 30, 1934. The oldest son of affectionately loving parents Emmitt and Gussie Thompson, He was born in Canton, MS. His family moved to Chicago where he attended elementary school, graduated from Englewood High School and decided on Wilson Jr. College for his formal education. In April 1955 Arthur joined the United States Air-force. His basic training was at Lackland Air-force base. From there He saw a great number of blue skies including Wyoming, Florida, Hawaii, Greenland, Greece, Thailand, Turkey, Cambodia and Germany (where he saw his oldest son born). As a Chaplains Management Specialist his journeys allowed him to see blue skies in the Holy Lands.
After 20 years serving this country, he chose to retire in Colorado, where he promptly gained employment at The Rocky Mountain Arsenal. With the closing of the Arsenal He went to Rocky Flats where he retired a Federal Marshall. Through and amid it all: He sang and earned numerous trophies as the tenor in the "Spidels" part of the service men who toured, performing for the troops. He played and coached basketball. He was a barber and owner at the The Holly Barbershop. But, his passion lied in nature. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took pride in cleaning and preparing his own meats, making jerky, braising rabbit and making his wonderfully popular "wild game chili" which he made several times for charities such as the "100 men who cook." He was an excellent chef.
Arthur met and married Eleanor Ware in Florida. They had a loving marriage that produced good fruit: Daughter Sophia, Son Craig, Daughter Stephania (Ken), and the youngest Son Corey. He is also survived by His loving mother Gussie, Sisters Cheryl, Vonzella, Desiree, Shirley and his only brother Emmitt Jr. His pride was his 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He also shared his life, home and wisdom with several adopted children, brought to his home for comfort, by his children through their friendships (loving mentions to them: Pam, Chrystal, Lynn, Reggie, friend Michael Waiters, and many others)
