Audrey June Andrus, 88, passed away January 6, 2025 in Denver, CO. Audrey was born November 17, 1936 in Pueblo, Colorado and graduated from Central High School. She was hired directly out of high school to work in the Personnel Division at the Pueblo Army Depot. She enrolled in the Pueblo Junior College to further her education by attending night school. She worked there advancing through the ranks into supervisory administrative positions until she transferred to the Geological Survey, Personnel Office located at the Federal Center in Lakewood, CO where she retired as Deputy Director in 1991.Growing up she was very active in First A.M.E Church (Previously known as St. Paul A.M.E. Church before the merger) activities and served as organist for many years. She was always very devoted and involved with family and all family members as it grew through the years. Her love and dedication to her loved ones left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

 Audrey was a strong single mother, a terrific grandmother, a loving friend, and a devoted daughter and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Wilma Benjamin, older brother, Orville 'Boyd' Benjamin, twin sons, Darrel and Derrick Andrus and daughter Stacey Danelle Browne. She is survived by sister Beverly Ausfahl, son-in-law Jerry Browne, three grandchildren, Cameron, Danielle and Morgan Browne, two great-grandchildren, Lylah and Zyaire Browne and the families of three nephews and two nieces.

 Audrey was an adventurous spirit who embraced life with enthusiasm. She always had a library in her home, filled with books that she cherished reading. She loved doing puzzles, which kept her mind sharp and engaged, and was a dedicated member of a local bowling team, enjoying many friendly competitions over the years. Audrey took great joy in attending her grandchildren’s sports and school events, always offering her support and encouragement. Music was another of her great loves, and she found comfort and inspiration in its melodies. Above all, Audrey approached life with a joyful heart, cherishing every moment and the people around her.
