Barbara Sue Christner

Barbara Sue Christner, 77, died peacefully October 4, 2024 in hospital while recovering from a cardiac arrest suffered September 22, 2024.

 Born April 05, 1947 in New Martinsville West Virginia in Wetzel County, she was the eldest child of Samuel & Betty Davis of WV. She was the widow of James R. Christner of Lone Tree Colorado.

 Barbara and her husband James moved to Colorado in 1975. In addition to being a wife she devoted her early years to her three children, then worked many years as a teacher at Cherry Creek Christian Academy in Englewood, CO. She later became owner/operator of her own daycare, Cradle Roll Daycare located in Lone Tree, CO. After suffering a series of health-related issues, she was forced into an early retirement where she enjoyed watching the Nuggets, collecting lighthouses, tending to her flowers and the company of many friends and pets over the years.

 Surviving her in life are her sons James Douglas Christner, Benjamin (Theresa) Michael Christner all of Lone Tree, CO, her sister Donna Powell of New Martinsville WV, Samuel (Debra) Davis of Level Plains AL, Sally (Charlie) Pyles of New Martinsville, WV and David Davis of New Martinsville, WV. She was proceeded in death by her husband, James R. Christner, her son Jason Scott Christner and her sister Joyce Smith of New Martinsville, WV.
