Barbara Carolyn Staab, age, 81, passed away on June 3rd, 2017. She was born on January 4th, 1936 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Margaret B. Stasko and Fred G. Cook. She graduated from St. Francis High School (Denver) in 1953. In 1964 she married Norman A. Staab. They enjoyed their active "snowbird" lifestyle in both Tucson and Denver.
Barbara had a love of books and reading, which lead to her career working in the library at Hamilton Junior High School in Denver and eventually the University of Arizona in Tucson. Barbara was the most kind, giving, selfless wife, mother, and friend that we were all honored to know and share our lives with. She had the misfortune of developing macular degeneration about 11 years ago, but that never interfered with her desire to travel, volunteer, and entertain for family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed her social life which included the Marion Club, Bunco, Book Club, Kitchen Kapers, Needlework, and Tucson Welcome Club.
She is survived by her husband, Norman, children Gregory Staab (Yvonne), Sandra Staab, and Bradley Staab (Wendy); and 5 grandchildren, Kalen, Jordan, Theodore, Samuel, and Georgia.
