Beatrice Jeanette Atwater
85 born August 19, 1930 in Laurel Nebraska, passed away, on March 20, 2016. Bea was a devoted Christian, loving mother and good friend to many. She grew up on the family farm in Laurel and graduated from Wayne State University in Nebraska. Soon after she joined United Airlines as a stewardess flying throughout the U.S. and to Europe and the Caribbean. She left the airlines to raise her two sons. Later she started a new career, spanning over 25 years, as a substitute teacher in the Jefferson Country and Denver schools. She is survived by her sons, Jeff Atwater (Martha) and Scott Atwater, grandchildren, Jessica Icenhour (Brad), Jacob Miller, Katie Atwater, Taylor Atwater, Tara Atwater, and Hannah Atwater, and great grandchildren Isidora Icenhour and Ryan Miller. Her family and friends will miss her and she will always be in our hearts. May you rest in peace in the arms of the lord.
A Memorial Service will be held at 01:00 pm on 04/22/2016 at Southern Gables Church, 4001 S Wadsworth Blvd, Littleton, CO 80123. Bea requested donations be made to Southern Gables Church.
