Ben Kawashima, 89, of Aurora, passed away December 24, 2018.
He was born April 11, 1929 in Portland, Oregon, the son of Yozo and Haru (Seki) Kawashima.
He graduated from Manual High School in Denver on June 13, 1947.
On March 22, 1952 he married Joan Kelly.
Ben honorably served in the Army from 1947 - 1950.
Ben enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and was an avid Broncos fan since 1960.
Ben is survived by two sons, Steven C. (Gwen) Kawashima and Bruce T. Kawashima and grandson, Brandon Howell.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan; daughter, Christine; father, Yozo Kawashima; mother, Haru Seki; brother and sister-in-law, George (Mamie) Kawashima and sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Kiyoshi) Wada.
