Bertha Murry

On October 11th, 1931, Bertha Murry's life began in Wynne, Ark. Her parents were Allie and Wesley Heath. She was raised alongside her two sisters and two brothers, Ethel Heath, Dorothy Cannon, Charles Heath and Jesse Heath. Her beginnings were hard, but with her desire to live a better life, she moved to Chicago, IL.

Bertha met and married Alvin Murry, to their union one daughter, Pauline Murry was born. Later in life she became a grandmother, even a great grandmother. She also took time to be with her, nieces, nephews and their families. Many family gatherings were shared with her being the fun aunt and the life of the party!

She took on a career in the food industry and became a prep cook. She enjoyed preparing and cooking for her family and friends. On holidays, she cooked lots of food that our family and friends enjoyed!

Bertha was a fun-loving person that loved playing cards, listening to good music, dancing and seeing everyone enjoying themselves like she would. She loved traveling and seeing different places to make sure she was seeing and enjoying life the best she could. She was a well-dressed woman who took pride in all she did.

Bertha departed this life and went into the lords embrace on May 12, 2025. Many are left to cherish her memory including, her daughter Pauline Murry; Grandchildren, Latrina Eddings and Iran Paul Murry; Great-Grandchildren, Shayline Trujillo, Teaira Smith and DayVion Eddings; A host of nieces, nephews, many family members and friends.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Wesley Heath and one granddaughter, Sabrina Smith.

She will be missed by all who loved her, spent time with her and enjoyed her!
