Bessie L. Morton

June 6, 1926 — February 12, 2016

Bessie or Bess as she preferred to be called was born in Hall County NE. in the Township of Cairo, on June 6th 1926. Her Great Grandpa help to establish the town and he homesteaded the farm in Cairo where she was raised. She married Alfred Breazier 71 years ago on March 10. There were five children Gary, Peggy, Danny, Bruce and Pam. She was preceded in death, by her parents Albert Green and Leona (Hedglin) Green, her brother Darold, daughter Peggy and son Danny. My father Alfred Breazier passed in 1997. Her second husband Maurice Morton passed in 2000. She always told me "your the big brother Gary, you have to protect and take care of your brothers and sisters" and in those last two days I told her not to worry I would do that and she gave me a little smile so I knew that made her feel better. Years ago when I told her my kids, Dawn and Todd, went to the same school she did in Cairo when she was little, she said to me that's why they're so special. I tried to tell her it was because of their Great Father, she said "no it's the Grandma and I am unanimous in that." So that pretty much ended that argument. I am sure my surviving brother and sister have fond memories too as well as her three generations of grandchildren. I lost count at about 54 grand kids total. We will all remember Feb.12, 2016 as the day a little light and a little love left us here on this plane to go and be with her daddy and momma again. They have been holding her in their heart now they can hold her in their arms, and we will now hold her in our hearts. She will be missed. We love you MOM.
