Betty Jean Hudson, 88, of Littleton, CO, passed away Dec. 29, 2016, in Littleton.
Born April 11, 1928, in St. Joseph, MO, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Hudson; her mother, Helen L. Hale; her father, Frederick Basil Morris; her brother, Basil Frederick Morris, Jr.; and her sister, Sharon Hale.
Betty is survived by her children, daughter Jeanne LaVaughn Kula; son, James (Sandra) Craig Hudson; son, Gregory Allen Hudson; daughter, Christina (Merle) Ann Stambaugh; and son, Gary Andrew Hudson. Surviving grandchildren are Janet (Heather) Hinchey, Ronald Aylesworth, Jeremy James Hudson, Dustin Merle Stambaugh, James (Bobbi) Stambaugh, Nikki Lynn Hudson and Christopher Andrew Hudson. Surviving great grandchildren are Anjelina Lopez, Vincent Nathaniel Stambaugh, Trinity Hinchey, Rose Hinchey, and Aleah Hinchey.
Viewing will be Sunday, January 8, 5 to 7 p.m.; Memorial Service Monday, January 9, 11:30 a.m., both at Newcomer West Metro Chapel, 901 S. Sheridan Boulevard. Interment will be held at 1:15 p.m., Ft. Logan National Cemetery, S. Sheridan Boulevard; and, a reception will follow at 2:00 p.m., Alexan Apartments Community Room, 801 Englewood Parkway.
Betty deeply loved and was devoted to her husband, Jesse, whom she married April 22, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army at the Battle of the Bulge, in the Pacific Theater, and in Korea.
She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A devout Christian, Betty's favorite pastimes included Bible study with family and friends, and lovingly hosting countless birthday parties, holiday celebrations, baby showers, graduation parties, and luaus.
