Betty Jean Heiman, 88, of Bailey, passed away October 22, 2015.

She was born April 27, 1927 in Waverly, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Jacqueline (Watson) Devigne. She was married to Roland V. Heiman for 35 years when he passed on December 30, 1982.

Betty was very independent. She drove the Alaska Highway by herself in the family truck in the middle of winter. During WWII, Betty would be found inside airplane fuel tanks, grinding them smooth. After Roland's passing, Betty joined the Edelweiss Club. Betty loved to read and do word-searches. She also greatly enjoyed fishing, bowling and watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Above all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by Son, Lee (Dawn) Heiman; Daughter, Rhonda L. (Brad Martine) Heiman; 5 grandchildren; Many great-grandchildren; Brother-In-Law, Ralph (Judy) Heiman and Two Nephews, Steve (Sandy) Heiman and Mike (Judy) Heiman.

In addition to her husband, Roland V. Heiman; she is also preceded in death by Father, William Bryan Devigne, Mother, Jacqueline J. Hegarty, and Sister, Bonnie (Rick) Alaman.
