Betty Jean Miller, 89, of Fort Morgan, passed away September 23, 2018.
She was born August 20, 1929 in Thermopolis, Wyoming, the daughter of Thomas and Ethel (Butler) Thronburg. She was raised on Owl Creek in Thermopolis (Missouri Flats) and used to cook and do laundry for the cowboys at The Padlock Ranch.
She was a graduate of Thermopolis High School.
On July 9, 1947 she married Norman Miller in Red Lodge, Montana.
Betty was a member of The Rose Society.
Betty loved to sing and play Country Music. She could play the accordion and piano. She was also a sharpshooter. Betty loved to ride horses and gardening. She was the world's greatest cook and will be remembered for her cinnamon rolls and her chocolate pie. Betty was a friend to everyone that she met and she never knew a stranger. She was very upbeat, always smiling with sparkling eyes. She would light up when she saw people. Betty adored babies. Betty was a Christian and loved church. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by son, Steven D. (Jane) Miller; two daughters, Cheryl S. (Dennis) Fendrich and Lori A. Miller; sister, Helen Allinder; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband, Norman L. Miller; father, Thomas Thronburg; mother, Ethel Thronburg; two daughters, Meredith Lynn Miller and Connie Jean Griffis; two sons, Marvin Miller and Robert Wade Miller; grandchild, Cindy Strausheim and brother, Leslie Thronburg.
