Betty Jo Cave , 73, of Denver, CO passed away on August 27, 2013. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Aurora.
Betty was born on March 31, 1940 in Cheyenne, WY to the late Wilford Cave and Jewel (Thomas) Brantford.
She is survived by her Sister, Mary Ann Cowan, Nephew, Gregory Cowan, Niece, Reseena Cowan, Grandniece, Spenser Sherman and Brother-in-law, Harold Cowan.
Feisty and independent at a young age, Betty Jo chose to strike out on her own to live a dream and share her talent of dance on stage beginning as a dancer in the "Idlewild Review". Betty Jo performed alongside the popular entertainers of her era and relayed some interesting stories which we treasure to this day. As a chef her skills and talent allowed her to spend time in Europe perfecting her recipes and sharing the rewards of her labor. A gifted dancer and an accomplished chef Betty Jo brought a spirit to our family that was uniquely her own.
Family was always close to her heart no matter where she traveled and she chose to settle down in Denver, Colorado with her sister and extended family. She continued to dance, though not on stage, influencing her young niece to pick up where she left off. And, when Betty Jo was home cooking, we could always count on a few extra visitors at the table.
We love and miss you Aunt Betty Jo. Finally you are at peace.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm Following the path God laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah, yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.
Do Not Stand
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
