Bill Johnson

Francis William (Bill) Johnson passed away on April 30, 2017. He was born November 14, 1923 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Bill graduated from high school in Moville, Iowa in 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific and married Faith V. Riggs on March 1, 1945 while on active duty in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He attended York College in York, Nebraska and graduated from Iowa State University in 1950. As a registered structural engineer, Bill was a partner in the Johnson Jamerson Associates architectural firm in Cedar Falls, IA. The firm designed many buildings at then Westmar College, LeMars, Iowa.
Bill and Faith along with their children Kae and Kevin, moved to Denver, Colorado in 1980 where he retired in 1989 from the State Health Department.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin R. Johnson and Leta (Barth) Johnson and also his wife Faith.
He is survived by daughters Marcia McLauglin, Chaska, MN; Vicki Tronchetti, Jefferson, IA; Kae Lin Johnson, Denver, CO and sons Paul and Hal Johnson, Omaha, NE and Kevin Johnson, Denver, CO.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls, IA.
Remembrance with family and friends is being planned for Summer 2017 in Cedar Falls.
