Billy Claude Chambers, 82, of Aurora, Colorado, died April 1st.
He was born to the late Rubin and Mattie (Dunn) Chambers, Feb.7, 1932, in Parrish, Alabama. Bill attended school in Parrish and in Japan. His older brother Walter Earl, was stationed in Japan and had adopted Bill. He graduated from high school in Fort Worth, TX. Bill spent eight years in the Air Force and attend Auburn University.
Bill worked for United Airlines in Washington, DC and Oakland, California before moving to Denver and retiring in 1994, as a simulator technician with UAL and 37 years of service.
Bill is survived by his wife Ladene, two children: Tina (Tony) Sherrick and son, Robert. He also is survived by four grandsons: Brandon (Amber) Sherrick, Christopher, Tony and Mitch Sherrick and two great-grandchildren. Also, two nieces, one nephew and Shirley Chambers.
Bill is proceed in death, by his parents, two brothers: Walter Earl, Paul David, and one sister, Ruby Mae Bassett.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hope Lutheran Church in Aurora, or Aurora Interchurch Task Force.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday the 12th at Hope Lutheran Church, 1345 Macon Street, Aurora, CO 80010.
