Blanche M. Gifford, age 96, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Born April 20, 1923 on a farm near Pleasanton Iowa, she was the daughter of the late King and Katie (Robb) Landphair and was the fourth of nine children.
During WWII Blanche worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan. At the end of the war she married her high school sweetheart, James Gifford. Blanche was a wonderful wife and mother and loved to sew and garden. She was also very active in her church. She loved to go RV camping and travel with friends and family. Jim and Blanche were married 74 years, and both passed away within hours of each other on Easter morning.
Blanche is survived by children, James Gifford, Sonci Wobermin and Rebecca Knight, grandchildren Tawnya Frey, Joshua Knight, Sonci Francis, Suzanne Hogarth, Joel Knight, Angela Searcy and Kelly Knight and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Venita Snyder, Maycl Reeves and Helen Piper and by brothers Charles and Donald Landphair. She was predeceased by her sister LaVera Cowles and brothers Wilbur and Harl Landphair.
