Bobby James Platt

July 31, 1975 — May 21, 2025

Bobby James Platt, 49, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully in his home on May 21, 2025.

Bobby was born on July 31, 1975, in Aurora, Colorado, to Ann and James Spesock. From a young age, he developed a deep love for music and fishing, and he learned the value of hard work while helping his grandfather with construction projects — skills that would shape the rest of his life.

Throughout his adult years, Bobby worked as a general contractor and was known for his exceptional craftsmanship, his passion for classic cars and trucks, and his unwavering dedication to every project he took on.

In February of 1999, Bobby and Rae McCann welcomed their daughter, Jasmine Rae Platt — the light of his life. Bobby’s love for racing, music, guitar playing, drawing, fishing, attending car shows, and working on vehicles often found its way into special moments he shared with Jasmine. He spent countless evenings teaching her to play the guitar and piano, often playing soothing tunes until she drifted to sleep. These moments were a reflection of his deep love and gentle spirit, which Jasmine will carry with her forever.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Jasmine Platt (Heydan Fisher); his mother, Ann Everhart (Mark Everhart); his father, James Spesock; his brother, Justin Kost; his stepsister, Kimberly Stevens (Troy stevens and their children, Kylee and Gavin); lifelong friend, Justin Godlove; and his beloved dog, Jade.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patsy and James Platt; his aunt, Jody Holland; and his cherished dog, Isis, who was by his side until the end.

Bobby will be remembered for the unique skill and artistry he brought to his work, his deep passion for music and cars, and, above all, his love for his daughter.

A celebration of life is being planned, with details to be shared in the coming weeks.
