He was known for his great sense of humor and his love for humanity. He was well liked by everyone who met him and was an extraordinary personality who got along with everyone.

Boyd was a lover of the outdoors and loved to fish and enjoyed taking family and members of the congregation for outings. He was well loved and respected by his family and congregation and is mostly known for the great love he had for his wife, children and grandchildren who were always first in his life. He was very proud of each one of them and loved to spoil them as he was able.

He enlisted in the Air Force in 1959 and served 20 years, always proud that he was able serve the country that he loved. He was always mindful of the flags that were posted on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. He was stationed in various places throughout the United States but was also stationed in Japan and Germany and Vietnam.

When he retired the Air Force and returned to Colorado in 1979, he then worked for Cherry Creek School District for 20 years, retiring to then fulfill the calling on his life of Pastor to Eagles Nest Community Church where he and his wife Barbara have served as Co-Pastors to their beloved congregation for the last 12 years.

He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
