Boyd Dell Beach, 59, died April 12, 2012 at home in Denver, Colorado. Boyd is survived by his son, Michael Beach of Alabama; son, Nick Stafford (LeAnda) of Littleton, CO; daughter, Kelsey Beach of Parker, CO; and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 20th, 11 am at Ascension Lutheran Church at 1701 W. Caley Ave. in Littleton.
He was born February 24, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marian Beach, and sister, Joanne Young. Boyd is survived by his four sisters, Beverly Dawson; Janet Asnicar (Leonard); Rae Ann Beach (Kevin Dean) and Beth Ringer.
He was a father, husband, son, grandpa, and a great friend to many. Boyd attended Bear Creek High School as did both his son Nick and daughter Kelsey years later. Boyd was an auto mechanic by profession and loved working on classic muscle cars as long as they were Chevys.
He loved the Rocky Mountains as well as camping, fishing and conversations with friends. Boyd also loved wood working and building things in his spare time. Boyd was a faithful fan of the Denver Broncos and during the season would schedule his time so he didn't miss a game. Unfortunately he won't get to see Peyton Manning win us a championship.
One of his favorite movies he watched over and over was "A Christmas Story," he loved the dad's grumbling. Boyd also loved Stephen King novels, having read almost all of them. He always thought it was funny to refer to our family as the "Beachwolds" in honor of the Griswolds from "National Lampoon's Vacation" as silly mishaps would always follow us on our vacations. Boyd's greatest gift was putting aside his needs in order to help others.
