Brandon's Story
Lisa prayed and prayed for God to send her a child and she promised that if He sent him, she would always love him, take care of him and would raise him in the fear of the Lord, and in 1990 her prayers were answered. Brandon Andre Berry was born on September 20, 1990 in Gary, Indiana to Lisa Trotter and Jeffrey Berry. They relocated to Colorado when Brandon was only 9 months old. When Brandon was three years old his mother purchased him a Sega Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog game, at that very moment the master gamer was born. Brandon attended Heritage Christian School from kindergarten through fifth grade, during this time he gave his life to the Lord. He graduated from Smoky Hill High School in May 2009. He continued on to The Community College of Denver in the same year and then transferred to Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2011.
Being an only child Brandon was not what most people would consider a social butterfly, in fact, he was extremely private. He let few people into his exclusive world, but those chosen few became more than their titles suggested; a friend became a brother, a cousin became a sister, and online acquaintances became his digital family that spanned the globe. As Lisa and Brandon both know prayer is a powerful thing, because he was the answer to her prayers, but in the second half of the prayer that Lisa prayed, she promised to give her beloved Brandon back to the Lord, although she meant it metaphorically; at the age of 24 on March 29th around 7:21 pm the Lord called Brandon Home.
