Brenda Ann Burris

February 10, 1960 — September 22, 2014

Brenda Ann Burris

Brenda was born February 10, 1960 to Kenneth and Bertha Nelson in Tremonton, Utah. She passed away on September 22, 2014.

Brenda is survived by her husband, the love of her life, John Burris; son J.D. Hart, his wife Josie, granddaughter Ireland Rose and grandson Kadince Ryan; stepson Cameron Burris, his wife Alysa, grandsons Cameron II, Gabriel, Zachary; and granddaughters, Liliana and Bailee.

Also survived by sisters, Donna Holt, Utah, Alice (Johnnie) Bonds, Strasburg, Co, Karen (Mike) Allen, Minnesota, brothers, Ron (Lani) Nelson, Utah, Gary (Jean) Nelson, Utah, Bruce (Erin) Nelson, Utah, John (Rowena) Nelson, Strasburg, Co., Brian Nelson, Utah; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, along with many friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Bertha Nelson and brothers Roger and Doyle.

Brenda was a loving and giving person with a heart of gold. Brenda's greatest joys in life were her husband, son, stepson, and grandchildren who gave her so much pleasure and pride.

Brenda was employed at Steven Roberts Specialty Bakery during the day and Hilton Garden Inn on evenings and weekends. She was considered family at both places. She worked very hard with a generous heart towards co-workers and patrons alike.

Brenda was our baby sister and we truly enjoyed having her in our lives. Sister trips and family reunions were the best part of our time together. She recently returned to college to earn her degree in business management. She was an AWESOME cook and was known for her salsa and beef jerky- yum! She truly loved the family dog, Boogie. She and John enjoyed volunteering for the Neighborhood Watch program.

The sisters shared the tradition of finding bobby pins and pennies while thinking of Mom. Brenda shared memories of her Mom by giving "locks of love" to family members.

We will miss her caring personality, her stories, ideas and especially her hugs. Our sister trips, family reunions and daily life will not be the same without her.
