Brenda Harris

Brenda Harris, 75, of Arvada, passed away October 19, 2015.

She was born November 9, 1939 in Bar Harbor, Maine, the daughter of Phillip and Rita (Byer) Mabel. She graduated from Medford High School, received her Bachelor of Science Business Degree from Russell Sage College, and her Masters in Science in Education Degree from the State University of New York College at Oneonta. She worked for many years as a Counselor/Trainer.

Brenda enjoyed trips to Black Hawk, playing bingo, gardening, listening to music from the 1960s & 1970s, attending the monthly potlucks with her apartment community, taking drives through the mountains & enjoying nature, and spending time with her family and friends. Brenda was a no-nonsense woman who liked keeping things simple.

Brenda is survived by Daughter, Barbara L. Harris; Sister, Judith Mabel; Brother, Barry Mabel; Sister-in-law, Nilsa Mabel; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; 1 grandhorse, Dazee; and 1 grandpuppy, Ziggy.

She is preceded in death by Father, Phillip Mabel and Mother, Rita Mabel.
