Brian Ball 12/8/1972 – 05/16/2020
On Saturday, May 16, 2020, Brian Ball, beloved Father, Son, Brother and Friend, passed away at the age of 47. Brian was born on December 8, 1972 in San Diego, CA to Judy and Stephen Ball as their first-born son. He graduated from College with a Degree in Marketing and went on to get his Master's in business. He worked for Miller-Coors for most of his career and has volunteered at Westernaires for most of his adult life. He worked hard and lived every day to the fullest bringing a smile to everyone who met him. Brian had 2 children, Nickolaus and Emily Ball, who he was incredibly proud of.
Brian had a passion for life. He was a mischievous child who would do anything to make you laugh. He was very protective of his brother and sister growing up, though there was plenty of teasing by him. He was a member of the Westernaires beginning in 1986 and graduating in 1992. He later returned as a volunteer where he was an instructor, mentor, Posse, Chief Instructor of Red Division, and parent. He proudly watched his 2 children ride as he did and make lifelong friends. He also held a very tight bond to his own Mom and Dad. Brian was proud of his family, his new house and his jeep. He loved his yearly trip to Moab with the family, his annual hiking trip with his Brothers, and going to Estes Park with Westernaires. You could always count on Brian to bring you a smile and a laugh, to celebrate with you for any occasion, to lift you up during bad times, and to help with any project. He was first and foremost an amazing Dad to his kids, giving them exciting adventures, life advice and the perfect example of what a great man, Dad, Brother, friend, and human are.
Brian is survived by his kids, Nickolaus and Emily, his parents, Judy and Stephen, his brother, David, his sister, Amy, his brother-in-law, Patrick, his sister-in-law, Molly, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
A small family service will be held in the mountains to honor Brian. A giant party celebrating his amazing life will be held sometime in the future.
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again.
We Love You, Brian!
