1920-2012
Britton A. Storey, 92, of Arvada, Colorado passed on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Services are Friday, November 30, 2010 at Arvada United Methodist Church, 6750 Carr St. at 10:00am, with burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 2:00pm. Britton was a proud WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps (Air Force) stationed in the Pacific and Commanding officer of the 90th Bomb Group, 320th Squadron, Jolly Roger Heavy Bombardment Group at IE Shima. He retired from United Air Lines after 29 years as an airline pilot. He is remembered for his strength of character, humility, love of family, and country, sense of humor, and love of nature. He was born in Cadillac, MI March 22, 1920, and lived in Colorado since 1926. He is survived by Bertha, his beloved wife of 69 years, his daughters, Isadora (Barbara) Storey, Susan Colaccino (Mike), and his son, Brian Sgtorey (Lisa); grandchildren: Brisa Storey, Katie and Nick Colaccino, Mallory, Kayla, and Abby Storey; and great grandchildren Cailan Boone and Ava Guidry. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
