Cara F. Gasca , 84, of Aurora, passed away November 3, 2018.
She was born December 3, 1933 in Yukon, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jesse and Marcella (Yesco) Rodriguez.
She was a graduate of Yukon High School in 1951.
On December 21, 1957, she married Francisco Gasca.
Cara was a parishioner at Queen of Peace for 47 years.
Cara was dedicated to her family. She was well-known for praying the rosary every day until she was unable. She loved dancing, cooking, listening to Mexican music, pulling the lever on a slot machine and trips to Black Hawk. Cara also loved to watch telenovelas and was a professional bargain shopper.
Cara is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Francisco Gasca; son, Joey Gasca; daughter, Sonya (Kelly) Hand; three grandchildren, Aliya (Benjamin) Hess, Miranda Gasca and Eion Hand; two step-grandchildren, Jordan Chavez and Matthew Chavez; great-grandchild, Nayeli Hess and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by father, Jesse Rodriguez; mother, Marcella Rodriguez; two daughters, Mona Gasca and Theresa Gasca, three brothers, Ray Rodriguez, Tony Rodriguez and Joseph Rodriguez and five sisters, Josephine Freels, Lillie Sparger, Jessie Rose, Delores Hays and Marcelita Rodriguez.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cara's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 455 Sherman St #500, Denver, CO 80203.
