To Carl,

Little we knew that morning God was going to call your name. In life I loved you dearly; in death I do the same. It broke my heart to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of me went with you that day God called you home. You left me peaceful memories; your love is still my guide. And though I cannot see you, you are always at my side. You came into my life when I least expected. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. You gave me such loving advice and were such a strong example for me to follow, making me a better person. You are very special to me.

As a father to all of your sons, having you as a father was a gift that we are all thankful for and will treasure close to our hearts. We will love and miss you always.
