Carlene Cox Amsbury was born on February 10, 1939, in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Though she faced many difficulties during her life, she always persevered with strength and determination. Her life speaks through the loyalty, service, and care she continually gave to support her friends and family. She was a deeply caring woman, a loyal friend, and a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Even until her last days, Carlene continued to open-heartedly attract new friends. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 9, 2012, while taking a nap during a break from doing one of the things she was known for and loved – baking.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 20, at 10am in the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center (4005 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033).
Please do not send gifts. Flowers for the service would be gratefully accepted, but they are by no means expected. The best thing you can do for Carlene's family is share your memories of her with us (one way to do that is to visit the guestbook below link above).
