Carlos "Los" Cooks

Carlos, who was known affectionately to family and friends as “Uncle Wo” and “Los” passed away surrounded by family and friends on March 30, 2026 at SkyRidge Medical Center in Lonetree, Colorado, at the age of 43. Carlos was born on June 19, 1982, in Denver and was raised in Aurora where he resided at the time of his passing.

Carlos was the youngest of three children and he was also the most adventurous of them. He went to Montview, North, and Central High School. After graduation, he attended UNC Greeley. Upon leaving UNC, he decided to enroll at Concorde to become a Billing Coder for the medical industry. He went on to work with AMR and applied to Kaiser Permanente. He worked his way from Coder to Group Setup Specialist. He worked for them for over 15 years and was a dedicated employee. He was proud of the work he did.

In 2013, Carlos welcomed his only child, daughter Marlee, and his life took a wonderful turn when he became a dad. Marlee is the joy of his life and they enjoyed many good times together by going to concerts, hockey games or just shooting arrows in the backyard. Things they both loved.

Carlos was an avid hunter and he hunted wild hogs, elk, antelope and he took down a buffalo. Carlos was his happiest when he was out in the wilderness at one with nature. He was also very good with a bow as well when it came to outdoors.

Carlos is survived by his beloved daughter Marlee, his mom Linda, his dad Felix, his sisters Aundrea and family, Inez and family, Irene and family, Mary and family, Charity and family, his brother Daniel and family, Brandon (brother from another mother), his uncle Tommie and Aunt Barbara and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
