Carolyn Kay Purdy

Carolyn Kay Purdy , 74, of Arvada, passed away September 16, 2016.

She was born June 9, 1942 in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Ella (Stifter) Shipp.

Carolyn married Larry Mathews. They later divorced and Larry passed away in later years. She then married James Purdy and he later passed away in 1994. She then met Raymond Wells in 1995 and they later married. He passed away in 2012.

Carolyn enjoyed shopping at home. She also enjoyed puzzles and talking with family and friends. She enjoyed decorating her house. Carolyn loved her Shih Tzu, Angel. She was a coffee addict. She also enjoyed to "go up on the hill."

Carolyn is survived by Daughter, Rae Lynn (Clinton Conway) Wells; Grandson, Sean Paul (Richard Newby) Damon; Great-Grandchild, Caleb Newby; Two Sisters, Angela (Linda Sudmeier) Shipp and Janice (the late John) Miller; many nieces and nephews; Brother, Jerry Shipp; Father-in-law, Herman Mathews; her beloved dog, Angel and dear friends Donald and Louise Pacheco.

She is preceded in death by Three Husbands, Larry Mathews; James H. Purdy, and Raymond Wells, Son, Larry Eugene Mathews; Father, Francis Shipp; Mother, Ella Shipp; Brother, James Shipp and Grandchild, Nicholas Damon,
