Carolyn Keas passed away peacefully in her home in Aurora, CO with her family and her much beloved dog Callie by her side on September 26, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on August 11, 1936, in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in Loveland, CO.

Carolyn proudly served her country during the Korean war, as a PFC in the United States Army. She was assigned as an Administrator in both the Medical and Media divisions at Lowry Air Force Base in Aurora, CO.

After her military service she worked for Telecommunications, Inc (TCI) as an Accountant for 27 years. Carolyn then retired and she and her Husband Les made traveling and experiencing the world, their primary goal. A few of the places she visited were Hawaii, Egypt, Peru, Africa, Australia, England, Italy, China, as well as most states within the Continental United States.

When not traveling Carolyn spent her time volunteering for several different organizations such as Bright Beginnings, The Denver Museum of Natural History and The Aurora Police Department (APD). She was a volunteer at APD for over 20 years and earned many awards and recognition for her time and outstanding work as a volunteer.

Carolyn was an avid reader. She owned over 3,000 books and read them all.

At the time of her death, Carolyn was survived by her Daughters Gail Penrod, Tracy Henckel and Deon Farmer. Her Brother Tom Vincent, 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her Husband Les Keas, Daughter Kelly Loveless, Parents Veola and Willard Parsons, Brother Edward Vincent and Sister Barbara Vincent.

Carolyn’s funeral will be held at Fort Logan National Ceremony at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, on the same day, at Faversham Park 6109 W 73rd Ave, in Westminster.

Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO 720-857-0700, is handling all funeral arrangements.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in her name, to one of Carolyn’s favorite charities, Wounded Warrier Project.
