Carolyn Sanchez, 90, of Denver, passed away August 28, 2016.
She was born December 19, 1925 in Alamosa, Colorado, the daughter of Victoriano and Gomisinda (Ulibarri) Martinez.
In her younger years, Carolyn was involved in many women's organizations. She was a life member of St. Joseph's Church.
Carolyn was an avid Broncos fan who enjoyed sewing, reading books and watching her daytime TV shows. She also enjoyed going to garage sales. A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with and feeding her grandchildren. She helped to raise some of her grandchildren over the years. She will be remembered as an excellent cook.
Carolyn is survived by Three Sons, Patrick F. (fiancee Jessica Villegas) Sanchez, Joseph A. Sanchez (Sharon Muehe), Daniel B. Sanchez; Daughter, Shirley Cordova; Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; Two Sisters, Mary Keary and Barbara (John) Massara and many nieces, nephews and extended family in Colorado and Kansas.
She is preceded in death by Father, Victoriano Martinez, Mother, Gomisinda Martinez, Daughter, Maria C. Tafoya, Sister, Rose Olivas, Brother, Victoriano Martinez, Jr., Brother, Joe Martinez.
