Carroll "Poptate" passed away on Saturday, Jan 12, 2013 in Denver, CO. He was born on Apr 06, 1930 in Clarks, Nebraska to Willie W. and Eda Johnson.
He is survived by his son, Greg (Julie) Johnson and daughter, Sherry (Bill) Travers; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also survived by loving companion of many years Consuelo "Connie" Ashcraft and her family: 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Carroll was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was a retired U.S. Army 1st Lieutenant who served his country in the Korean War. He was also a devoted Colorado sports fan, especially of the Broncos and Rockies.
