Catherine (Kay) Martin, 82, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on May 17th 2017 at St. Anthony hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, surrounded by the love of her family.
Kay was born October 7, 1934 in Lansing, Michigan, to Jay (Sr.) and Christine Spalding. She was the only daughter and sister to Arland and Jay (Jr.).
She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend. She found joy from spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a remarkable individual who found happiness in caring for others or taking time to stop and enjoy the scenery of life from birds in her flower garden to watching the many colors of fall. She was known for her sewing and crafting skills.
Kay is survived by; her Children, Michael (Beverly) Martin, David Martin, and Diane (Rod) Salazar; her Grandchildren, Doug (Jessica) Martin, Chris (Story) Martin, Jeff Martin, Natasha (Eric) Nelson, Richard (Anne) Salazar, and Gregory (Jason) Martin; her Great Grandchildren, Brianna, Kyle, Kody, Cameron, Tristen, Michael, Olivia, Madison, Jaymes, Lyric, Veda; and her Great Great Grandchild Jose.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dale E. Martin; her daughter, Kathie L. Martin; her parents, Jay (Sr.) and Christine; her brothers, Arland, and Jay (Jr.).
