CATHERINE STAAB

October 23, 1925 - July 28, 2025

Catherine Staab, age 99, was born in Garden City, Kansas, to Nicholas Hepp and Dora Rose Bieker Hepp, on October 23, 1925. Catherine was the youngest of eight children.


When Catherine was six months old, her family left Garden City, Kansas, and moved to Colorado.

She married Frederick Staab on May 14, 1947, in Hays, Kansas.


Catherine was a homemaker but did work for a short time as a part-time cashier at Hested's, a retail store.

Catherine is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred (Buddy), her son Ron, her parents, her brothers Balthaser Hepp (and wife Katie); Alec Hepp (and wife Helen); Anthony Hepp (and wife Josephine); and Richard Hepp. Sisters Helen Frick (and husband Victor); Barbara Getz (and husband Al); and Pauline Dreiling (and husband Michael). Brothers-in-law Albert Staab (and wife Clara); Robert Staab (and wife Alice); Richard Staab; Paul Staab (and wife Joyce); Frank Staab (husband of Irma Staab) and Joseph Staab. Sisters-in-law Rita Billinger (and husband Leo); Eileen Bollig (and husband Al) and Barbara Staab (wife of Norman Staab).


Surviving family members are her sons Darold and Mike and daughter Cindy; brother-in-law Norman Staab; sister-in-law Irma Staab; and many nieces and nephews.
