Charles Bernard Buscher, Jr. , 62, of Lakewood, Colorado, was born June 7, 1951 in Washington, D.C. He grew up in Maryland in the suburban Washington area and enjoyed frequent trips to Florida to visit relatives. It was on his first trip to Florida for his baptism that he received his lifelong nickname, "Skip".
Skip had a lifelong passion for two things - the outdoors and his dogs. He moved West in his 20's, going to college at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and later moving to Salt Lake City, Utah and Missoula, Montana. In, 1981, Skip was married in Missoula to Joyce Tesmer. Skip and Joyce moved to the Denver area that same year and settled in Lakewood, Colorado in 1988. Failing health in recent years led him to leave his outdoor pursuits behind, but his passion for dogs continued until his death.
Skip is survived by his wife, Joyce, and his sister, Marian Dodson of Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Buscher, Sr. and Audrey Mills Buscher.
