Charles Edward Beall "Charlie", "C.E." Born on June 12, 1935, passed away Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at home surrounded by family.
Born to Bessie Wetz-Dixon in Holly, CO was immediately placed for adoption due to financial hardships. He was adopted by Ann & Jack Beall, but throughout his childhood many helped raise him. From age 12, his home was with Jamie West Beall of Grand Junction, CO. Jamie was present when Ann and Jack brought him home, and fell in love with him at first sight.
He is survived by his life-long love of 50 years, Betty Jean; three daughters from a first marriage; Anita Marie (Loren) Cooper, Aurora, NE; Becky Sue Asmussen (John) Loveland, CO; Pamela Lynn Crocker, Denver, CO; and three daughters with Betty; Julie Ann Johnson (Anthony) Fletcher, OK; Trudy Lynn Moser (Steve) Commerce City, CO; Suzanne Jean Bancale (Mark) Missoula, MT; his sister by adoption, Karen Martinez of Pueblo, CO, who was adopted by Bess and Grant Hill.
Charles and Betty built a life of love, faith, tradition, and support of their substantial family including 6 daughters, 23 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and more to come!!
Charles was a hard working "Over-the-Road-Trucker" for 40 plus years with three major trucking carriers in the Denver area; Colorado Cartage, IML, & NorthWest. He was proud to be a Teamster.
He was a member of the Miracle Masonic Lodge in Eastlake, CO where he participated and served in leadership positions in numerous Masonic bodies. Serving as an El Jebel Keystone Cop, he relished taking all of his family to the Shrine Circus each year. He was proud when three Daughters, four grandsons, and a granddaughter followed in his footsteps by joining the Masonic families of Job's Daughters, DeMolay, and Blue Lodge.
He was a generous and hospitable man; inviting hungry strangers to his home for a meal, using his own road money to rescue stranded families in need at truck stops, and passing out silver dollars to children of all ages. We know not the number of lives he touched, because most of his good deeds were done in secret.
His strong, tough exterior could always be melted when his grandchildren and great grandchildren visited. Each one was a precious treasure to him.
Charles E. Beall was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Please join the family for a memorial service at Westminster Masonic Lodge, 8151 Bradburn Dr. Westminster, CO 80031 at 2 pm on Friday May 2, 2014, with a reception to follow.
