"Charlie" Charles Arthur Farrar Jr.

Charles A. "Charlie" Farrar Jr. was born on December 5, 1989, in Missouri to Charles A. Farrar Sr. His family grew even larger when Charlie and his brother Eric were adopted by Tracy and Devery on April 9, 2004. Charlie’s family was built through both birth and love, and he continued to share a close and meaningful relationship with his father, Charles A. Farrar Sr., and the Farrar family throughout his life.

 Charlie will be deeply loved and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his siblings Eric, Austin, Dustin, Skye, Quinton, Kayla, and David Jr., along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and countless friends who became family.

 Charlie spent most of his life in Aurora, Colorado, where his adventurous spirit and easygoing personality made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. As the oldest of the siblings he grew up with, he was the fearless leader of the pack—always the first to try something new and never afraid to take the leap. His brother Eric shared an especially close bond with him, and together they created countless memories that will be cherished forever. Charlie graduated from Smoky Hill High School before attending Pickens Technical College, where he became a certified welder. Throughout his career, Charlie continued to grow his skills by earning specialized certifications and taking pride in his work.

 Above all else, Charlie is a devoted father. His daughter, Shealynn, was born January 10, 2011. Shea is his greatest pride, his biggest motivation, and the person he loved most. Whether they were sharing adventures, going to her first concert, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time together, Charlie treasured every moment with his girl. 

Charlie’s caring heart extended beyond his role as a father to Shea. Trenton, who is Shea’s younger brother, became another person Charlie loved deeply and supported throughout his life. After Trent lost his own father, Charlie naturally stepped into a father figure role, providing guidance, love, and the unconditional support that came so naturally to him. One of Charlie’s most meaningful moments was when Trent asked if he could call him “Dad.” That moment brought Charlie tears of happiness and reflected the kind of man he was— someone who opened his heart fully and made others feel loved, protected, and cared for.

 Charlie and Shea’s mom, Vanessa, shared a co-parenting commitment to giving their children a childhood filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Together, they celebrated birthdays, Halloween traditions, concerts, music festivals, Renaissance fairs, family vacations, and countless adventures. They created a foundation of love and experiences that Shea and Trent will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

 Music was a huge part of who Charlie was. From listening to his favorite songs to attending concerts and music festivals, he loved the memories, experiences, and connections that music brought into his life. He approached life with a free spirit, always ready for the next adventure and never afraid to enjoy the moment. Charlie also had an endless love for Spider-Man, Venom, the Marvel universe and King Kong, always enjoying the characters and stories that captured his imagination.

 Charlie will be remembered for his laid-back spirit, adventurous heart, and the deep love he had for his children, family, and friends. He found joy in life’s simple moments, made people feel comfortable being themselves, and left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he left this world far too soon, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the example he set as a father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend will continue to live on through all who loved him.
